Neist Point Wide Pano - Isle of Skye

Neist Point Wide Pano - ISO100, 1s, 15mm @f/11

Neist Point and Lighthouse on the north western part of the Isle of Skye is a little bit out of the way if visiting the island but is well worth the little bit of extra travel involved for these stunning views out to sea towards the outer Hebrides and beyond to the north Atlantic ocean.

With several hundred meter sheer drop cliffs and being open to the ‘sea of the Hebrides’ this can be a formidable but exhilarating place to visit during the winter months but on a lovely calm night can lay on some of the best sunset views the Isle of Skye has to offer. there is a large carpark in this area so plenty of place to park up and enjoy a walk along the peninsula to the Lighthouse at the far side. and also a small shop at the car park that opens throughout the day during the peak season. (I’ll leave a list of some equipment that I used with links if anyone’s looking for inspiration or for a starting point for their own mountain photography shopping list)
