Lagangarbh Hut - Glen Coe
Lagangarbh Hut - ISO500, 1/8s, 62mm @f/4.5
Lagangarbh Hut at the foot of the iconic Buachaille Etive Mor in the Glen Coe area of the Scottish Highlands.
This little cottage is used, and run as a bothy by the Scottish Mountaineering Club (SMC) as a staging post for it’s members when visiting the area to climb the nearby mountains. nestled in the lower reaches of the valley that leads from Rannoch Moor past the mouth of Glen Etive and iconic Buachaille Etive Mor towards the Glen Coe pass, this cottage sits just on the far side of the river coupall and is visible from the roadside of the a82 just as you pass Altnafeadh, this is a favourite stop off points for visitors to the area as it can offer so many amazing picture postcard angles of the cottage and the surrounding area. This cottage may be little , but given the right light and weather conditions as well as the right angle this little cottage can create a photographic scene that has a really big character. (I’ll leave a list of some equipment that I used with links if anyone’s looking for inspiration or for a starting point for their own mountain photography shopping list)
